The Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History is situated in Ramsinghpura, Sawai Madhopur. It was launched by Finance Minister Mr. Namo Narayan Meena on March 1, 2014. Historical Facts: The Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History was established in December 2007 by the late vice president of India, Hamid Ansari. Initiated by the Indian government's Ministry of Environment and Forests, this museum plays a pivotal role in environmental education. It also plays a vital role in raising public awareness about the importance of protecting India's natural landscapes and precious resources.

Museum build-up: The museum is situated on 7.2 acres of land, is elegantly built and strives to raise public knowledge of the planet's biodiversity. The three-story museum will showcase the geology, minerals, flora, and fauna of India's dry western region.

Collection of artifacts: On the ground level possess a well-organized exhibit about the animals and history of Ranthambore and the nearby Ranthambore Fort. The tiger, leopard, black buck, sambar deer, spotted deer, etc. images and idols are highly attention-drawing.

Other Activities: Another highlight is a live village scene and a large painting of Ranthambore Fort. Visitors do stop by the ceramic shop and the art gallery to watch artisans at work. In addition, some products are for sale as well.

Knowledge Program:  The museum also provides educational programs for students, building the connection between plants and animals. There are about ten thousand books in the library, all of which are free for guests. Two biologists have been hired by the museum to provide information to guests. For seminars and wildlife documentary screenings, a 300-seat auditorium has been built. 

Future Endeavors: This museum's long-term goals include gaining national and worldwide acclaim for its displays of national history and cultural facts.

Timings: Besides Mondays and federal holidays, visitors can visit the museum from 10 am to 5 pm every day of the week.
